Contract Terms
PLEASE READ THIS CONTRACT IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE SIGNING
To reserve space(s) for the 2025 Blessing of the Bikes Marketplace, you are required to complete and return the enclosed contract with a down payment of ½ of the total rent by March 15, 2025. The balance of the rent will be due on or before April 15, 2025.
The Blessing of the Bikes Marketplace is a rain or shine event. There are no refunds on deposits or payments. Failure to make the final payment due in April 2025 will constitute forfeiture of all deposits, payments and reservation on space(s).
The Lessee (Vendor) shall pay all taxes, licenses and special fees as imposed by the State, County or Village of Baldwin.
FOOD VENDORS must contact the District 10 Health Department and secure all necessary permits and schedule inspections.
If you are coming to tell us how to run things or to complain about how we run things, please stay home.
SPACE FEE: Fees for Vendor space(s) include 110/15 AMP Service. Food Vendors, upon request, will be provided with 220/30 AMP Service.
SET-UP: IMPORTANT – NEW INFORMATION REGARDING SET-UP:
Prior to set-up, you must check in at the Lake County Chamber of Commerce Office (895 Michigan Avenue, Baldwin). Set-up hours will be Thursday evening from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Tear-down and clean-up must be completed by 4:00pm on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
ALL VENDORS MUST ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING MARKETPLACE POLICIES:
*Absolutely no sub-renting of space(s) and/or sharing of space(s).
*There will be no suggestive or obscene material sold or displayed.
*NO sale of tobacco and alcohol products within Marketplace.
*NO use of, distribution, possession or sale of illegal drugs on the premises.
*Vendor product, tables, displays, and any other materials used by the individual vendor must remain in their marked space(s).
CLEAN-UP AND TEAR-DOWN:
Clean-up consists of both your space(s) and the surrounding area of your space(s) with no damage to the grounds. Clean-up and tear-down must be complete by 4:00pm Sunday, May 18, 2025.
LIABILITY RELEASE: By signing this contract, the Vendor (Lessee) agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Lake County Chamber of Commerce, its officers and members, the Lake County Historical Society, its officers and members, the Village of Baldwin, the County of Lake located in Michigan from liability of theft, accident, acts of violence, injury to self, your workers, your guests and your property, and you accept responsibility for any liability arising from such acts of like thereof by yourself, your workers, guests and associates. The payment for the space(s) does NOT purchase any insurance on your behalf nor does it entitle you to insurance coverage for any hazard caused by you, your business, your workers, guests, agents or anyone associated with you in any way for injury, damage, or loss resulting from acts of others at the Blessing of the Bikes Marketplace. The Marketplace operators, the Village of Baldwin and/or Lake County, Michigan, do not provide you with insurance protection of any kind. In your relation to the Lake County Chamber of Commerce, the Village of Baldwin, the County of Lake (Michigan), you are solely responsible for any acts or consequences associated with your participation in the 2025 Blessing of the Bikes Marketplace.
Any alterations/deletions of this contract will void this document.
VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE ABOVE POLICIES WILL CONSTITUTE IMMEDIATE FORFEITURE OF SPACE(S) AND ALL PAYMENTS.
