Battle for the County Seat 150 Years Reenactment!

The Chase Township Library, accompanied by some LCHS Folks, will celebrate the Battle for the County Seat.
April 30th, 2025 marks the 150th anniversary of the Baldwinites stealing of the safe from the Village of Chase. Whoever was in possession of the county papers stored in the safe held the distinction of being the County Seat at the Time! Shanna Avery and others from the Chase Library have planned a fun evening celebrating this important occasion.
