DESCRIPTION:Come join us at Hollister Senior Center of Baldwin for an educational class regarding accidental opiod overdose and the life saving use of Narcan. \nWe are looking forward to Liz from the health department to come and speak to us regarding this issue. \nAs we get older\, we may have occasion to forget whether we took our pain medicine and end up having an accidental opiod overdose\, or perhaps you come upon someone in the middle of an overdose.  Overdosing on opiods can kill.  This gathering will teach us about the use of Narcan when someone has overdosed on opiods. \nNarcan saves lives every day!   Having it available when it is needed can be fundamental to saving a person’s life.  Liz will educate us on this lifesaver.   This is a free event. \nYou never know from one moment to the next if you would need to use the material you learned to save someone’s life.   Please join with us in learning to save others.

DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, June 29\, 2026 at 10:00 a.m\, Hollister Senior Center is offering a CPR/AED class.  One never knows if we may  need to use CPR/AED to help an adult or child save their life.   Minutes manner is emergency situations. \nLearning CPR/AED is critical because it can double or triple a person’s chance of survival after cardiac arrest by maintaining blood flow to vital organs until professional help arrives.  With over 350\,000 cardiac arrests occurring annually outside of hospitals\, bystanders trained in CPR can provide immediate\, lifesaving action\, preventing brain damage and death. \nWe still have a few spots left for this important class.  If there is enough interest\, we may host this event again.  However\, in order to attend this event\, register as soon as possible.  You must register to attend. \nPlease call 231-745-6965 to register.  Together\, we can save lives. \n
