This is the 49th year of the Original “Blessing Of The Bikes”. This event started with 8 riders and 4 motorcycles in 1972 who gathered at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church. From those humble beginnings it has grown into one of the largest events in the area. It is attended by Bikers and non-Bikes a like from around the country and is open to everyone. Families come with their kids to just walk around downtown Baldwin and look at the bikes and bikers and to enjoy the vendors and great food. This event spreads out from Baldwin to surrounding areas and provides a lot fun for everyone.
Lake County Chamber of Commerce is the #1 promoter and supporter of the Blessing. We work hard with Para-Dice motorcycle club, the Village of Baldwin, Sheriff Department, Fire Departments, M-Dot and many other groups and organizations to make this a great event.
This year the event will start on the afternoon of Wednesday May 12th, 2021 when the vendors start setting up in downtown Baldwin and Runs through Sunday May 16th, 2021. The actual Blessing starts Sunday morning at the airport, gate time is 9 a.m., with the blessing ceremony taking place at 1:00 p.m. Donations are requested at the airport and given by the Club to different organizations. The past couple of years the Club has been donating proceeds to the Duane E Dewey Amvets Post 1988
